K9s work on lead
Dogs hunt. That is why they are the best tools for the job of finding missing people. We train them to focus that hunt drive on human scent - live human scent or cadaver scent. The search methods (area search, human remains detection, trailing) and the environments (land, water, buildings, vehicles, burned structures) can be slightly different, but each dog’s skills have been finely honed over years of training and routine certification through national, independent agencies to ensure they are mission ready.
Please note:
No special accommodations are needed for the dogs. They work right alongside people and even other working dogs.
We deploy locally (Southern Indiana), regionally (Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois) and occasionally farther.
All K9 teams bring enough supplies to be self-sustained for 72-hours.
All K9 teams are certified through national, independent agencies.
Again, all of our services are always provided free of charge.
